Value for money
7/10For the price that you pay, you get a well rounded experience with lots of nice details such as an on-theme clueing system.
Daiman
8/10Like their other room Merlin, this room is only £21 pp. This room is great for families and first timers and is a great fun entertaining hour.
Jenny
8/10For £21 each, this is a good value room that offers an above average experience.
Paul
7/10Yes it is value for money. An enjoyable experience for all.

Theming
7/10You could definitely believe that you were stranded on an island here! There’s a nice atmospheric soundtrack and some sand, obviously.
Daiman
8/10From the moment you enter the room, to the puzzles and the clues the theme is really strong. You certainly feel like you are a stranded island. The room is simply painted and decorated but I can’t knock the theming for this as it really works.
Jenny
8/10This room has a homemade feel to it and you can tell that a lot of time and effort has been spent building it as the attention to detail is very good and it looks impressive. The challenges are all on theme, and so is the clueing system which is cleverly done.
Paul
7/10The theming was done well in this room. The puzzles kept to the theming of the room, even the way you received the clues was themed to the room. You definitely felt the island theme.
Bharath
Uniqueness
8/10We’ve never seen this theme attempted before and, as mentioned previously, the clue system was on theme with the room – no big screens or walkie talkies here. Little touches like this and the way that we entered the room make for a fresh experience.
Daiman
8/10I found this game to be unique to others I’ve played due to the strong theming. I also love how in order to escape you literally have to collect parts for a raft which is essentially what you’d do on a stranded island. I also loved the ‘message in a bottle’ for the clues. Whilst some people may feel the game is basic the care and precision in the design made it for me.
Jenny
8/10The set, puzzles and clueing system are all cleverly done with some new ideas. This was the first and almost certainly last time that I will use a USB coconut! Adding some humour added an extra element to the game.
Paul
7/10Being blind folded at the start added to the unique experience.

Puzzles
7/10The most noticeable thing here is that, again, they were all suited to the location of the game. Everything was logical and there were no moments where we felt the solution required a leap.
Daiman
7/10I loved the puzzles in this game due to the fact the theme was used in each game. However as the games are quite easy I can’t score higher.
Jenny
8/10All of the puzzles help you get pieces to build something to escape the island. This final build is clever and well thought out. The puzzles are varied and enjoyable to play.
Paul
7/10The puzzles were fun and there was logic behind them which lead you to an overall goal.

The good
The set design, coupled with on theme puzzles made this room for me. It was just fun to be in.
Daiman
Absolutely loved this room due to theming, so many added quirks to make this a great room.
Jenny
I liked that we were blindfolded when entering the room which meant we didn’t know what to expect until the timer started. The humorous comments from the gamesmaster was a fun touch. He we also very passionate and welcoming and spent time talking to us about our game afterwards, showing us what we did well and not so well.
Paul
At the end of the game the host gave his favourite quotes said by our team, which was nice to hear.
Bharath
The bad
Personal taste here but it was a bit too family friendly – not that there’s anything wrong with that!
Daiman
My only issue with the room was the puzzles were a little easy but this may be due to the ‘family market’ this game targets.
Jenny
There’s very few negatives with this room. There was some wear and tear to the scenery which made it look a little scruffy in places.
Paul
The puzzles could be seen as on the more basic side but it didn’t ruin the experience.
